The Story of the Mission

Vincent had been serving as a worship leader for many years in Connecticut. Meanwhile, Rebecca was studying at Regent College (Seminary) in Vancouver, British Columbia. By God’s hand, Vincent and Rebecca met and were married. Their desire was to serve as part of a small ministry. Their philosophy was that “small is good,” that all people can serve in even the smallest ways and can trust God to do the multiplying.

Out of this desire and philosophy came the formation of Amante Mission. Amante is the Italian word for “lover,” and the mission was named thus based on Charles Wesley’s hymn, “Jesus, Lover of My Soul.”

Over the years, Vincent and Rebecca had met and known many weary believers who needed rest. As a result, they established Hidden Hollow Prayer Retreat which is a ministry of rest and prayer. Located outside Flagstaff, Arizona, it is a quiet, beautiful place where people are invited to spend time with their Lord.  Hidden Hollow also offers occasional  contemplative services, worship and seminars for guests.

Vincent and Rebecca also have individual ministries. Vincent leads worship, writes and records music. Rebecca is an inspirational speaker and writer.

We Are Sorry is a new outreach to those who have been hurt by the church. In addition, Amante Mission partners with Friends of Warm Hearth coordinating its prayer team and serving in an advisory capacity.
